CONTEXT

Technology overuse has led to burnout, poor sleep, and diminished mental clarity for many urban dwellers. Orb was developed as a sensory-driven product and app to support digital detox and promote mindful time management in daily routines.

CHALLENGE

Users needed a calming, intuitive way to step away from their smartphones and reduce stress without feeling deprived of technology. The challenge was to integrate sensory elements like pink noise, dim lighting, and soft textures into a modular system that supports relaxation and focus, especially in the evening.

OUR SOLUTION

Orb combines product and interaction design to offer a personalized digital detox experience. Through user research, focus groups, and iterative testing, the design evolved to feature sensory interactions that support relaxation and better sleep. The experience is both physical and digital, encouraging sustainable habits and a broader shift in how we relate to technology.
